Jesik Consulting maintains a modern and fully equipped laboratory for the testing of aggregate, concrete, dimensional stone, and soil for mining, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and construction projects to ensure quality control and the safety of our clients and the public. Our laboratory is accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Accreditation Program (AAP).

Testing is completed by certified technicians (ACI and WAQTC).

Standard test procedures conform to appropriate ASTM, USACOE, AASHTO, and/or other specifications with strict quality control. Our testing and sampling procedures are routinely evaluated by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL).

Jesik Consulting has the ability to define and test specialty parameters not available through routine testing and can customize test programs tailored to your specific needs.

Tests we frequently perform include:
  • In-place density/moisture content by nuclear density gauge or sand cone methods
  • Density/moisture relationships – proctor testing (standard and modified)
  • Soil classification, swell, consolidation, density, moisture content, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits
  • Slump, unit weight, temperature, and air entrainment testing for concrete
  • Concrete strength testing
  • Sand equivalency
  • Permeability
  • Dimensional stone strength testing
  • Absorption and unit weight for dimensional stone
Laboratory Rating/Evaluation

Our laboratory evaluation process includes review of staff qualifications, equipment, quality control and quality assurance procedures, laboratory report examples, and accreditations to ensure that project requirements are satisfied. Laboratory visits may be completed as requested.
