Southwest Energy, LLC — US Hwy 50 Access Improvements & Site Civil Support

Jesik supported Southwest Energy, LLC with a complete civil design and construction support package for U.S. Highway 50 access improvements, including highway access design, permitting coordination, site civil planning, OWTS documentation, construction-phase inspection, and materials testing. The highway improvements were delivered as a bid-ready plan set with acceleration and deceleration lane design, roadway geometry, quantity summaries, survey control, culvert extension details, signing and striping plans, and erosion and sediment control measures. Jesik also coordinated with CDOT on permit review, constructability, work zone considerations, and traffic-control requirements. In addition to the highway work, Jesik provided site civil design support for drainage, grading, stormwater management, on-site access roads, and circulation between the plant and magazine areas. The drainage approach directed runoff to a detention pond, released flows below historical conditions, and used existing vegetation to help filter runoff before leaving the property. Jesik also prepared OWTS design documentation and provided installation observation support, along with construction-phase quality assurance services such as density testing, guardrail inspection, laboratory testing, storage silo excavation observations, and foundation-related recommendations. By combining highway access design, site civil engineering, permitting coordination, and field testing support, Jesik helped the project team move forward with a safer, more efficient, and construction-ready access solution.
